Terms of Use (Customers)

These terms apply when you use the iDeliverLocal website (ABN [ABN]) (we, us) to request delivery services.

1. We are a marketplace, not a carrier

We provide an online platform that connects customers with independent local delivery providers (Providers). We do not ourselves carry, store or handle goods. When you accept a quote, the delivery contract is between you and the Provider. We are not a party to that contract and are not responsible for the performance of the delivery, to the extent permitted by law.

2. Providers

Providers are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. Providers are required to hold a valid ABN and appropriate insurance and to declare this when they join. We take reasonable steps to check these declarations, but we do not guarantee any Provider’s suitability, and you should make your own enquiries (including reading reviews and asking about insurance cover for your goods).

3. Your job request

You must give accurate information about the goods, their size and weight, access (including stairs and lifts) and the locations. If the job turns out to be materially different, the Provider may cancel or re-quote and any additional fee must be agreed between you and the Provider.

4. Prohibited items

You must not request delivery of illegal items, dangerous goods, firearms, explosives, flammable liquids, drugs, live animals, human remains, or anything you do not have the right to send.

5. Quotes and payment

Quotes are offers made by Providers in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. When you accept a quote you pay through our payment partner, Stripe. We charge a booking fee (if shown) and retain a service fee from the Provider. Your contact details are shared with the Provider only after payment.

6. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a job before accepting a quote at no cost. After payment, cancellations and refunds are handled under the Australian Consumer Law and at our reasonable discretion. Contact us at the address below as soon as possible.

7. Loss, damage and insurance

Providers are responsible for goods in their care in accordance with their own terms and insurance. Check that your goods are covered. We recommend photographing your goods before pick-up. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.

8. Our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss and, where the law allows us to limit our liability, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupplying it.

9. Disputes

If something goes wrong, contact the Provider first, then contact us and we will try to help resolve the dispute. We may share information with the Provider and with law enforcement where required.

10. Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on a real job. We may remove reviews that are false, defamatory or abusive.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State], Australia, and the courts of that State have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
